How many slides can I have in my Interactive Deck?

Well we haven’t put any limit on the number of slides that can be included in a deck, but as per Micro Learning Principles, you should have 30 to 40 slides in your deck, we have observed that Learners were comfortable consuming the content, when there were up-to 40 slides in the deck.

What will be the size of my Interactive Deck? How does it affect my learner experience?

The size of your deck depends upon the type of learning content it wraps in itself, it will affect your learners experience if it is too heavy in size. Keep the following pointers in mind to keep your deck size moderate.

  • Have moderate number of images in your deck say about 20% to 30%
  • Make sure that the images are optimized with lossless image compression tools
  • If your deck also includes PDF slides, make sure that the PDF is also losslessly compressed

How can I remove all slides from my Interactive Deck?

You can not remove all slides from your deck, there is a constraint to this. You need to have at least one slide in a deck. So keep deleting the slides till you reach a condition when there remains only one slide in the deck, delete button will be disabled.

This way you can remove slides from you deck with constraint of having at least one slide in it.

How do I rename my Interactive Deck?

Here’s how you rename your Deck;

Step 1: Login using your creator credentials

Step 2: Go to ‘Create’ section using left navigation menu

Step 3: Open the topic in which you have created that deck

Step 4: Locate the deck in the list of learning content inside this topic

Step 5: Now you can rename the deck by either clicking on the deck name or by clicking on 2nd icon under ‘Actions’ column

I want to completely remove all voice-overs from my Interactive Deck, can I do that in one go?

Follow these 3 steps to remove all voice-overs at once;

Step 1: Make sure you are inside your Interactive Deck Editor

Step 2: Go to the tools tab

Step 3: Under ‘Voice-overs’ section, click on ‘Delete all Voice-overs’ button, it will delete all audio voice-overs and voice-over scripts from the deck

I want to remove voice-over from my Interactive Deck slides, how do I do that?

Here’s how you remove voice-overs from your DECK;

Step 1: Make sure you are inside your Interactive Deck Editor.

Step 2: Now navigate to the slide for which you want to remove the voice-over.

Step 3: Scroll down to the end of the slide.

Step 4: Click on ‘Remove Voice-over’ button, it will delete voice-over only for given slide.

How to download all voice-overs text to an external text file?

Here’s how you do it?

Step 1: Make sure you are inside your Interactive Deck Editor.

Step 2: Go to the tools tab.

Step 3: Under ‘Voice-overs’ section, click on Download script button.

Step 4: It will download a ‘.csv’ file containing voice-over text from all slides. Now you can open this file in a .csv file editor tool like notepad or Microsoft Excel for viewing and editing.

In my Interactive Deck, Under tools section, there is an option that says: “Copy Slides to Script”, what does it do?

This option enables you to copy all your slide text, to voice-over script field, which can then be exported to an excel file.

So consider you need to record voiceovers for your deck slides, and you want the slide contents for this process, you can have it on a click of button.

I have created voice-over audios for my interactive deck. My Deck has 30 slides. Do I need to go and upload each audio/slide?

No, you don’t have to upload it on each slide. Here’s how you can do a bulk upload ;

Step 1: Make sure you are inside your Interactive Deck Editor.

Step 2: Go to the tools tab.

Step 3: In the Voice-overs section, find an ‘Upload’ button. Via this button, you can upload all slides voice-overs at once. Keep in mind to name voice-overs as per slide numbers e.g. 1.mp3, 2.mp3, 3.mp3, 4.mp3 and so on.

Step 4: After the upload. Do, revisit the slides to confirm if the correct audio files have been uploaded.
